1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using BuiltByMe, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using this site.

2. Product Submissions

When you submit a product to BuiltByMe:

• You confirm that you are the actual maker or a core team member of the product, not a directory submission service or third-party agency
• You confirm that you own or have permission to promote the product
• You grant us permission to display your product information publicly
• You understand that we reserve the right to approve or reject any submission
• You agree to provide accurate and truthful information about your product
• You agree to maintain an authentic maker profile using your real name and personal details, not a brand or company name
• You understand that paid submissions are non-refundable once approved, except as stated in the Refund Policy below

3. Pricing & Payments

BuiltByMe offers multiple plans and services:

• Free Plan: No payment required, standard review queue
• Launch Plan ($9): One-time payment, instant launch, DoFollow backlink, permanent listing
• Featured Plan ($39/month): Monthly subscription, premium sidebar placement for 30 days, cancel anytime
• Directory Boost — Starter ($49): One-time payment, manual submission to 50+ directories, guaranteed DR boost of +10
• Directory Boost — Pro ($89): One-time payment, manual submission to 100+ directories, guaranteed DR boost of +20
• Directory Boost — Premium ($119): One-time payment, manual submission to 150+ directories, guaranteed DR boost of +35

All payments are processed securely through Dodo Payments. Featured plan subscriptions renew monthly and can be canceled at any time through your account settings.

4. Weekly Competition

The weekly spotlight competition is based solely on upvotes from the community. We reserve the right to disqualify products engaging in fraudulent voting activities. Winners are announced via newsletter and social media.

5. Content Moderation

We reserve the right to remove, modify, or reject any product submission or maker profile that violates our guidelines, including but not limited to: spam, illegal content, harmful products, misleading information, or content that violates intellectual property rights.

BuiltByMe is a community for independent makers. Profiles created under a brand name, company account, or submitted by a directory submission service will be removed. Makers are expected to represent themselves as real individuals building their own products.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use automated systems to manipulate votes or rankings
• Submit spam, misleading, or fraudulent content
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to circumvent our systems or security measures

7. Intellectual Property

All content on BuiltByMe, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of BuiltByMe or its content suppliers and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Product information submitted by users remains the property of the respective owners.

8. Limitation of Liability

BuiltByMe is provided "as is" without any warranties. We are not liable for any damages arising from the use of our service, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities.

We do not guarantee specific traffic, ranking, or revenue results from any plan. For Directory Boost orders, our guarantee is limited to the DR increase specified at time of purchase, subject to the refund terms in Section 9. We are not responsible for changes to third-party domain rating tools, algorithm updates by those tools, or actions taken by individual directories after submission.

9. Refund Policy

Launch & Featured Plans

Launch plan payments are final and non-refundable once your product is approved and live. Featured plan subscriptions can be canceled at any time to prevent future charges, but no refunds are issued for the current billing period.

Directory Boost — Money-Back Guarantee

We stand behind our Directory Boost service with a results guarantee. If we do not deliver the guaranteed Domain Rating (DR) increase for your plan within 60 days from the date your order is marked complete, you are eligible for a full refund of your Directory Boost payment.

To be eligible for a refund under this guarantee:

• You must submit your refund request within 60 days of your order completion date
• You must provide a screenshot of your current DR from Ahrefs, Moz, or a comparable domain authority tool
• Your domain must have been active and reachable throughout the service period
• You must not have taken actions that would negatively affect your DR (e.g. mass removal of existing backlinks, domain penalties)

To request a refund, email hello@builtbyme.io with your order ID and supporting screenshot. We will review and respond within 5 business days.

10. Directory Submission Service

The Directory Boost service involves our team manually submitting your product to third-party web directories on your behalf. By purchasing a Directory Boost plan, you acknowledge and agree that:

• Submissions are completed within 6-7 business days from the date we receive your product details
• You are responsible for providing accurate, up-to-date product information through the onboarding form
• Individual directories have their own review processes and may approve, delay, or reject listings at their sole discretion — we are not responsible for third-party directory decisions
• The DR increase guarantee refers to improvement measured in a standard domain authority tool and may take up to 60 days to reflect after submission completion
• We will provide a detailed report including submission links and screenshots upon completion
• A dedicated Gmail account may be created on your behalf for directory registrations; credentials will be provided to you in your results report

We reserve the right to substitute equivalent directories if a listed directory becomes unavailable or no longer meets our quality standards, provided the total number of submissions is maintained.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of BuiltByMe after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
